This place was surprisingly pleasant considering some of the poor reviews.
Price was fair and food was good, FREE COLESLAW!
This place is quiet, quaint and looks freshly renovated with Latin channels playing on in the background.
I ordered the pupusas with everything and the quesadilla which were tasty and decent sized portions.
Not in the best location, but that's how you know it's good eats!
I'd come again -

Came here to try the food after all the hyped reviews.
first impressions were shocking... the location and parking lot made me wonder if i was in the right place. After going in, there was soccer playing on the tv and not exactly a welcoming environment.
Once we settled and sat, we placed our order.. the fried pork was chewy.. and felt like a mistake. I am use to chinese roast pork or lechon, and was expecting something along the lines of that. But it was not even close. It was chewy all over and not tender at all. Pupusas was the saving grace of the day.. it was good but thats all i can say.
after all the hype i felt i was let down. Unlikely to return for anything else other than pupusas -

Such a great little spot for great food!!! Pork and cheese pupusas are the best!!! The yucca fries are also amazing!

This casual Salvadoran is one of the better options for Latin American food in the GTA.
We decided to check it out since we wanted something other than Asian food for a change. The strip mall where the restaurant is located was a bit shifty, and there weren't any other customers inside, and they were playing a show about a murder case on the TV, so we were a bit apprehensive at first... But neither of us died, and we got delicious food to boot!
The star of the show were the pupusas. A pupusa is just a corn flour tortilla filled with various different innards and cooked on a griddle - it's kind of like a quesadilla, but much much better. Mine was filled with cheese, beans, and pork, and it was delicious. We also got a tamale (also delicious) and fried plantains (great for dessert).
Overall, we both enjoyed the great food for a very reasonable price. El Pulgarcito is the perfect solution for any of your Latin American cravings! -

Best pupusa in the city! There are many different variation of pupusa as well. The food is made fresh (hence the long wait time). Quality of the ingredients are always good and fresh. I am actually very sensitive to cheese but when I ordered pupusa con queso, I had no problem.
The restaurant is also very clean and quaint.
The service and owner of the restaurant is very nice and caring. We asked for take out but changed our mind last minute and decided to sit in - the owner did not mind our sudden change. He quickly set up our table and told us not to worry. He provided us cutleries and plates and served us.
This is a great place for food and provides a welcoming atmosphere.
